Over the first three weekends in December, the onsite makers and creative businesses at Taurus Crafts will be joined by more than 30 independent traders to create the area's largest Christmas market.

The weekends will feature live performances, choirs, singing groups, delicious food and drink and hundreds of locally-grown fresh cut Christmas trees

The centre's bustling Christmas market showcases the best the area has to offer and features a diverse range of original gifts, jewellery, artworks, crafts, local cider, beer and wine, handmade preserves and sweets.

Not only will you be spoilt for choice at the market, visitors will also have the chance to meet the talented onsite designer-makers based at Taurus Crafts.

Tom Haverly, marketing and events manager, said: "The Christmas markets are the highlight of the year at Taurus Crafts. Last year we saw a record-breaking 10,000 visitors during the three weekends and this year's market traders attending promise to be better than ever."

Available throughout December, the markets offer a range of 'very local trees' grown on Lydney Park Estate. Prices are reasonable and the carbon footprint couldn't be better as they are grown under one mile away from Taurus Crafts.

The trees are felled as freshly as possible which greatly improves their needle retention properties. On site, visitors can select their own tree 'un-netted' so you really can see what you are getting before it's made easily portable and put in a net.

Centre manager Wendy Firkin said: "There is a wonderful sense of community spirit during our markets and it is great to see visitors supporting the independent and artisan businesses we have here during the market weekends."

The festive shopping doesn't stop at the Christmas markets - visitors can visit the centre during the week to get last-minute gifts, Christmas decorations and trees or even just visit for a festive treat with friends.

Taurus Crafts boasts 12 artisan and independent businesses offering a range of unique gifts that cannot be found online at the click of a button, such as handmade candles, artisanal chocolates, hand-crafted glassware leatherwork and stone carving. Over the three weekends Taurus Crafts is proud to welcome a great selection of new traders to its Christmas Markets, adding a great diversity to our seasonal offering. The selection of new traders includes confectionery, gin, sauces & seasoning, artwork, wine, street food, bath bombs & soaps, cider, beer and ceramics to name a few.

Visitors will be able get in the festive spirit during the market weekends with performances from local choirs, singing groups and bands.

Also, not to be missed is the family festive entertainment marquee full of festive cheer and family fun with magic shows, puppet shows and musical performances - there is something that all the family can enjoy.

Among those performing will be the Chepstow Big Band, Wyedean Gospel Choir, Forest Flute Choi, Springfield Singers, Forest Singers, Garden Café Singers, Yorkley School Choir, Aylburton School Choir and St Briavels School Choir.

Taurus Crafts is open from 10am until 5pm during theweek and is free to get in with a large free car park.
